Quick verdict
The M10+ is Temtop's current small monitor, and it fixes the old M10's biggest gap: it measures CO2, which tells you when a room needs fresh air. It also reads PM2.5, AQI, TVOC, temperature, and humidity on an e-ink screen, logs data to a Bluetooth app, and runs up to 60 days on a charge. It no longer measures formaldehyde, and it isn't lab-grade, but it's a lot of monitor for around $100.
Ideal for
- CO2 and ventilation checks
- Bedrooms (silent alarm, no glowing screen)
- Moving between rooms
Not ideal for
- Formaldehyde readings (it doesn't measure it)
- Whole-home Wi-Fi alerts (the base model is Bluetooth only)

The in-depth review
The Temtop M10+ is a small, battery-powered monitor built to answer two questions: is the air bad right now, and does this room need fresh air? For around $95 to $120 it measures CO2, PM2.5, an AQI figure, TVOC, temperature, and humidity on an e-ink screen, with a Bluetooth app for history. It replaces the older Temtop M10, adding CO2 and data logging but dropping the formaldehyde reading. The verdict: it's the best portable monitor we cover and one of the most affordable ways to track CO2, as long as you don't need formaldehyde or remote Wi-Fi alerts from the base model.
What it measures
Temtop calls the M10+ a 6-in-1 monitor. The headline addition is CO2, measured from 400 to 5,000 ppm with a stated accuracy of plus or minus 40 ppm plus 5% of the reading. CO2 is the best everyday gauge of ventilation: when it climbs in a bedroom overnight or a closed home office, the room needs a window open, and no purifier will fix that. Alongside it you get PM2.5 (0 to 999.9 µg/m³), the fine particulate that tells you when to run a purifier, plus an AQI number that turns that reading into an at-a-glance category.
It also reports TVOC (0 to 5 mg/m³), a general figure for volatile organic compounds from paint, cleaners, new furniture, and cooking, along with temperature and humidity. What it doesn't measure is worth stating plainly: there's no formaldehyde sensor. The original M10 broke formaldehyde out on its own, so if off-gassing from pressed-wood furniture or a fresh renovation is your main worry, the M10+ only gives you the broader TVOC number. There's no radon or carbon monoxide either.
Accuracy and the app
The M10+ works without a phone: every reading sits on the e-ink screen, so you can switch it on and look. The Bluetooth app is optional but useful. It shows live readings when you're nearby, keeps a history with hourly logging, lets you export data, and handles calibration and firmware updates. The catch is range. Bluetooth only works when you're close by, so the base model can't push alerts to your phone while you're at work. Temtop sells a separate Wi-Fi version of the M10+ for that.
On accuracy, treat it like any consumer monitor. The CO2 sensor carries a published tolerance, and that's tight enough to tell a fresh room from a stuffy one. The PM2.5 and TVOC readings are best used for relative changes rather than lab-exact figures: you'll see the particle count jump when you start frying and fall once the purifier catches up, and that direction-and-size feedback is what drives real decisions. TVOC in particular is a rough guide, so watch for spikes and trends rather than reading meaning into a single number.
Living with it
At 3.2 by 3.2 by 1.2 inches and about 9.6 ounces, the M10+ is small enough to move wherever the question is: the kitchen mid-cook, the nursery at night, a freshly painted room, the basement. The 2,200 mAh rechargeable battery runs up to 60 days per charge, so it doesn't need to sit next to an outlet, and you won't be recharging it every few days.
The e-ink screen is a quiet strength. It has no backlight, so it won't light up a dark bedroom, and the alarm can be muted, which makes it one of the easier monitors to leave on a nightstand. The tradeoff is that e-ink is monochrome, so you lose the color screen the old M10 had. Temtop covers it with a 1-year warranty.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Temtop M10+ measure formaldehyde?
No. It measures CO2, PM2.5, AQI, TVOC, temperature, and humidity. The older Temtop M10 had a formaldehyde reading; the M10+ traded it for CO2. TVOC is a broad reading that rises with formaldehyde and other gases, but it can't single formaldehyde out.
Does the Temtop M10+ need Wi-Fi?
No. The standard M10+ pairs with the Temtop app over Bluetooth, so you see live readings when your phone is nearby, and it logs data hourly for history and export. Temtop sells a separate Wi-Fi version if you want to check readings away from home.
How long does the M10+ battery last?
Temtop rates the 2,200 mAh battery at up to 60 days per charge, helped by the e-ink screen, which has no backlight.
