The short version
- Some links on this site are affiliate links to retailers such as Amazon and to air purifier brands (for example AirDoctor and IQAir). If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission. You pay the same price either way.
- Our outbound shopping buttons carry
rel="sponsored nofollow". There are no disguised links buried in the article text. - We are working toward approval in the Amazon Associates Program and in brand affiliate programs. Until a program is approved, links to that retailer are standard, non-commission links.
What commissions do not change
- Scores and verdicts. Our editorial scores are set before affiliate links are attached, and a product with no affiliate program gets the same treatment as one with a generous program.
- What we recommend. If the budget pick is the right pick, we say so, even though it earns us less.
- What we criticize. Cons lists are real. A purifier with pricey filters gets told its filters are pricey.
What commissions do pay for
Research time, hosting, and the coffee required to read air purifier spec sheets. That's it — no sponsored placements, no pay-to-play rankings.
Which programs we use
We are joining the Amazon Associates Program and affiliate programs for select air purifier brands and retailers, and we continue to add more. Each shopping button sends you either to the brand's own store ("Shop [Brand]") or to Amazon ("Check price on Amazon"), so you always know where you're headed.
